Iranian ‘Abadan 1160’ to be available online

Producers of ‘Abadan 1160’ are to start online screening of the movie in Iran this week.

Iranian movie ‘Abadan 1160’ has been selected to be streamed online after being screened in the domestic movie theaters.

The film will be available through several online platforms.

‘Abadan 1160’ is a narrative of Abadan city's resistance during the beginning of the Iraqi imposed war on Iran.

Directed by Mehrdad Khoshbakht, the film also depicts how the crew members of the city’s radio station, under the fire of an unjust war, stayed put at their workplace to give people hope to achieve victory.

Nader Soleimani, Vida Javan, Alireza Kamali-Nejad, Hassan Majouni, Hamid-Reza Mohammadi, and Shabnam Goudarzi are among the cast members of the flick.

The film was premiered at the main competition section of the 2020 Fajr Film Festival, where it received an award and two nominations.
